HISD: In Review

Week of Monday, September 28 - Friday, October 2, 2026

📣A Message from Your Superintendent

Greetings!
It seems that Fall is just around the corner- I can feel it in the air! There are so many fun, educational, athletic, and theme related events ahead of us in the month of October!
I know that many of our students have been ill over the previous week, and I truly hope everyone gets healthy soon!
The attendance rate this year has been wonderful at all campuses and I am so proud to announce that when students are at school they don't miss instruction, they get to see their school community, and the district benefits as it is funded in part based on attendance.
I'm looking forward to a productive week of learning and am excited to assist in the Catfish Festival at the Pumpkin Rolling contest on Saturday, Oct. 3. Maybe I will see you there?
Warmest regards,
Dr. Carolyn Fiaschetti
